This transport tractor is so nice that it was featured before in a truck calendar. This truck started out as a 1997 Ford Class 8 tractor with a stretched wheelbase of 272 inches. This truck was originally loaned by Ford to John Force Racing (funny car world champion) as one of two back-up trucks for the 1998 season. John Force Racing operated the truck for approximately 20,000 miles over a two year period. They then returned it to Ford and Robo’s company – Monster Robot, Inc. - purchased the tractor from Ford. Shortly thereafter, Ford Motor Company sold their Class 8 tractor division to Sterling. Sterling contracted with MRI to have the tractor updated to Sterling specs and paid to have the tractor repainted, lettered and a multi-colored flame job done by Lil Louie.
